I noticed that I should draw many other things than just characters and sceneries in order to once becom a successful concept artist. Amongst the many other things there are weapons, which I now tried. This is bullpup style modern assault rifle with special napalm grenade launcher, silencer and scope. Some things I should’ve changed are the tip of the grenade which is too pointy, even though it should explode easier like this, and the switch that controls fire mode (semi-automatic, automatic, burst) should be better, it’s somewhat messy.

Sketch #078
18 February 2009Oh noes… I’m sooooo late. Is it lack of time or bad priorising of work, but I don’t seem to get any drawings done lately. I’m currently working in Tuonela Productions as a graphical designer/concept artist, and my typical workday is basicly just drawing stuff. So yeah, certainly this lowers my need of discipline in practicing sketching, but this still sounds like a lame excuse to me.
This is a shirt design brainstorm for a contest in Deviantart. I’m not sure if I’m able to finish this..

Monogram
9 January 2009Well.. kind of. I’m bit by bit making me a new portfolio. My current site is too.. cluttered and I want a little more modern feel. You know, web 2.0 and all… ok I hate to follow trends but we sell what people buy. Anyways I needed a vector logo. It’s difficult to make a real monogram since I have two piece last name and with disturbingly similar letters.
Inkscape. God.. that’s one awful software, at least when you’ve got used to Illustrator…
